Celebrate the Small Things - It takes a village edition

Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a better week that me--I'm sick.  I think it's a sinus infection, and it's the worst one I've had in years.  It's really knocked me out, and I'm so lucky that my Mom lives nearby, because she has been a lifesaver the past few days.  She's watched Little Roo while I napped, and she's the only reason we've made it through the week.  If I'd been on my own, the baby would have been parked in the pack-n-play in front of the TV all week.  I honestly don't know how single parents survive, and I hope I never have to find out!

Fortunately, I got my book turned in before falling ill.  And I'm happy to report that I'll be writing another Colton family book, which will be released next May!  I had a blast writing Colton Baby Homecoming, and I think this book will be just as fun! :)

Any big weekend plans?  I'm hoping to regain my sense of taste and smell soon, and I'm also hoping to feel well enough to attend a free symphony concert on Sunday with the family.  Little Roo loves music, and I hope she'll enjoy it.

Hope you have a good weekend!

If you've been reading my blog, you know that Fridays are reserved for a post where I celebrate the little things that have happened during the week. This is a blog hop created by Vikki and now hosted by Lexa Cain, and it's one of my favorite blogging things to do.  I encourage you to check out her blog and the full list of participants, because who doesn't love reading about good things?

  2. Totally horrible being ill when you have little ones - you end up feeling so guilty normally but thank heaven for your mom to be able to help out :) Here's to a much better weekend!

  3. I'm so sorry you're sick. Get well soon! Yay for your mom coming to the rescue, getting your book done first, and for the new Colton one in the works. I've heard Western romances are a good genre to be in.
