Celebrate the Small Things - Movie edition!

It's time for another edition of Celebrate the Small Things!  Be sure to sign up here to participate in this great hop!

This week, I'm celebrating the fact that the Hangover Part III was released!  I totally loved the original movie, and while I thought Part II wasn't so great, I'm excited to see Part III.

Yes, I know these movies are ridiculous.  And immature.  And not everyone enjoys them.  But they make me laugh, and I get to look at Bradley Cooper for 2 hours.  Seems like a win-win to me.

What movies are your guilty pleasure?

  1. That's as good a reason as any to watch a silly movie. And I am herewith inventing the 'Eye Candy' blog award to acknowledge people who pretty up the blogosphere with great images!

Guilty pleasure? Hm... Aside from Casablanca, which I can quote at length, and which has entered my lectionary, I have to admit to loving Disney's cartoon THE EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE. I rented it one weekend when I was under the weather, hated it, returned it with great scorn and a curled lip (took a while to un-curl) and then, about two days later, got the giggles remembering parts of the thing and ended up buying a copy. "I don't know about you, but I'm ALL FUNNED OUT!"

    Have a great weekend!

    1. I haven't seen The Emperor's New Groove yet, but now I'm adding it to my list! :)

I watched the first Hangover when I was sick, which I think is why I love it so much--I was hopped up on meds, so I was highly suggestible :)

  2. Looking at Bradley Cooper for two hours was the primary reason I watched the first Hangover movie. I ended up loving it though (and I agree with you on the second one) because it made me laugh so hard.

And, like Diana, I also loved The Emperor's New Groove. Very funny film.

    1. That's 2 votes now for Emperor--I really have to watch this movie!

Just got back from Hangover III. You'll be happy to know that Mr. Cooper is looking particularly good (although really, when does he not look good?)

  3. lol I'm not going to lie... I thought part 2 sucked too but I did laughed a lot during one. So yeah... I want to see it also, probably will wait until it comes out in DVD with little ones and schedule issues so be sure to leave a review if you see it ;)

    1. Just got back :) I loved it--it was ridiculous, juvenile, and still not as good as the original, but better than part II.

  4. I am so "movie-challenged" that you won't believe it.
But if I had to name my guilty pleasure movies, that would have to be the animated kiddies movies...
I think I'm "guilty" of preferring animated over "normal" movies... and finding them more "pleasurable" LOL

    1. I enjoy animated movies too--I love the older Disney movies, and I'm a big fan of Anastasia--did you ever see that one?

  5. Bradley Cooper, mmmm. The Emperer's New Groove is really funny, particularly Cronk. I want to see the new Star Trek again, partly because I loved the movie but partly because I have a slight *ahem* crush on Chris Pine now. I'll mostly be watching the first one tonight while hubby watches the football.

    1. I really enjoyed Star Trek--I actually liked this new one better than the first one (although I did like the first one, don't get me wrong).

And yes, Chris Pine is lovely (those eyes!) :)

The movies are fun! I think I like the third better than the second...
