IWSG - November edition


It's time for another edition of the Insecure Writer's Support Group!  Every month, we post about our insecurities or worries as writers, or we post words of encouragement to bolster each other.  For more information, or to sign up to participate, check out the IWSG web page!

This is a special post for me, as it's my first IWSG post as a published author!  My debut novel was released this month, and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you.  The support and encouragement I've received from the writing community has been amazing, and I appreciate the friendships I've made here.  You guys are awesome!

    Congratulations to you!!! That 'published' transition is huge. Though I can't tell you it reduces the insecurity... you are just insecure on a more public plane... Best of luck with your book!!!

      Thanks, Hart! I'm finding that you're right--the insecurities haven't gone away. If anything, I now have a whole new set to break in! :)

    What a huge, huge accomplishment - CONGRATULATIONS! I'm not published yet, but I have a feeling Hart is right; insecurity will still show up. At least now, you've got a real, live, published product to show for it!

    Congratulations on the book. I guess this means you are no longer an insecure writer, right? I didn't think so. Keep up the good work. Maybe the insecurities will go away after the fourth or fifth book.
