Photo Friday - Zoo edition
I went to the zoo a few weeks ago for the first time in years. I'd forgotten what a nice zoo we have, and it was great to see all the animals out and about before the heat of summer gets to be too much. While I enjoy seeing them all, I have a soft spot for the big cats.
What's your favorite zoo animal?

I'm looking forward to visiting the zoo this summer, too. And I agree, I love the big cats!!
ReplyDeleteI snapped a picture of a tiger napping in the sun--doesn't matter how big they are, they still act like my boys at home! :)
DeleteI think the big cats are best! The leopard and panther too! Such menacing beauty...

They're so graceful... :)
DeleteLove the kitty cats :-) I wish I could pet one...
ReplyDeleteMe, too! I think it would be great to be a zoo veterinarian, and get to treat all the animals.
DeleteI love seeing the small monkeys-- but I steer clear of the Gorilla's- their eyes always make me cry!
ReplyDeleteThe chimps and gorillas are hard to see, because they have such soulful gazes. Makes me want to hold their hand...
DeleteOh yes, those cats get my attention too! I haven't been to the zoo in years, I must make time to go soon, really cool to see all the different lives ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to go--it was a lot of fun! :)
DeleteCats, gorillas, giraffes, monkeys...If it's furry and in the Zoo, it's my favorite. ; )
ReplyDeleteAn equal-opportunity animal lover, eh? I can understand that! :)
DeleteI quite like viewing the snakes, scorpions etc behind the safety of glass... and lemurs are cool!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the creepy crawlies, as long as I'm separated from them. The lemurs are adorable, as are the meerkats! :)
DeleteMy most delicious lion at the zoo memory was the time a big male lifted his tail and sprayed my father on the jacket. Suit jacket, that is. It was a Sunday morning at the Philadelphia zoo. The lion's aim was superb. Dad had no words... (but he did laugh later)
ReplyDeleteWow! I can't imagine being close enough to get sprayed like that! Your poor dad--I'm sure it was a mark of honor :)
