Celebrate the Small Things - Support the Arts edition
Don't make me celebrate all by myself! Check out VikLit's blog for the other sites involved in this blog hop, and let's spread the gratitude around!
This week, I'm celebrating the fact that I attended a play. I have season tickets to a local community theatre, and I attended my first show, which was charming.
I love going to plays. I'm very fortunate to have seen performances all over the world, but there is something special about community theatre. It's such a labor of love for all involved, and while it's not always the most polished show, I always have a great time. I'm really looking forward to seeing the other plays this year, and I think they're going to be just as enjoyable.
What are you celebrating this week?

Yay, for local community theatre.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to support community-based projects!
Happy Friday.
Happy Friday to you as well! Have a good weekend!
DeleteSometimes less polished is more satisfying. Perfection is sometimes wearisome, and it's the quirks that stay with us. Lovely post!
ReplyDeleteVery true--the unscripted moments are always the best! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteIt's been years since I've been to a play. Do miss it, makes such a wonderful date!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to go to one soon! It's always a good time.
DeleteThe last play I went to was Into the Woods - I love that play!
ReplyDeleteSondheim is one of my absolute favorites! I've only ever seen Into the Woods on film, never live. Maybe someday!
DeleteWhat a great celebration. I too love the theatre and I hope you have many more fun plans to see plays this year! :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a good list--I'm excited to see more!
