Today, I'm celebrating the fact that I get to hang out with my dear friend, Angi Morgan. I haven't seen her in a couple of months, and we're camped out in her house, catching up and getting some writing done. Of course, no visit to Angi is complete without paying some special attention to her fur babies, Roxie and Texas! I suspect my kitties will be less than thrilled when I come home smelling like dog, but they'll get over it :)
How was your week? What are you celebrating today?
If you've been reading my blog, you know that Fridays are reserved for a post where I celebrate the little things that have happened during the week. This is a blog hop hosted by VikLit, and it's one of my favorite blogging things to do. I encourage you to check out her blog and the full list of participants, because who doesn't love reading about good things?
Whoa, school is still in session here in Buffalo. Summer school doesn't start for almost a month. Glad you have a good group of kids, and Angi's dog is beautiful, hopefully your kitties won't be too upset when they smell you.
ReplyDeleteIs your season normally so long, or did you guys have a lot of snow days due to the winter weather?
DeleteGlad you are managing to spend some time with your friend and her fur babies. Happy Friday.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a good weekend! :)
DeleteIf I were a teacher, there wouldn't be enough money to get me to teach over the summer. But I guess it's different if you enjoy it. I'm hoping your 5 weeks pass quickly though!
ReplyDeleteIt's not so bad, and I just teach the first summer session, which means I have the second half of the summer off. We move so quickly though, it's pretty tough on the students.
DeleteBeing able to spend time with a friend is always worth celebrating!
ReplyDeleteMost definitely! :)
DeleteThe school where I used to teach is a year round program, so I taught all summer long. I had weekends off, though, so it wasn't too bad. =) Enjoy your students!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I think year-round would be better, so that there isn't as much down time. Keeps the momentum going! :)
DeleteAws getting to spend time with a friend you haven't seen in a while is always a wonderful thing.
ReplyDeleteNothing much here. My home construction project is finally passed all permit inspections and on it's way to being done. That's pretty exciting. I actually have some walls now! Woot!
Good luck with week 2!
That is wonderful news! Glad to hear it! :) Good luck with your construction project--I hope it wraps up soon! :)
DeleteSummer school is definitely worth it when you have good students who want to e there. Enjoy! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt makes a huge difference in their attitude! :)
Delete{{{{hugs}}}} for teaching Summer School. I never had the nerve to do that. ;-) I had a good week editing my first few chapters and marking up a beta read.
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo for progress! :)
DeleteFunny, I was over at a friend's house, and I'm sure my cats knew I'd been playing with a stranger cat!
ReplyDeleteThey totally do! It's some kind of sixth sense with them, I think :)
DeleteHow fun to spend some time hanging out and writing with a friend! What a lovely dog.
ReplyDeleteShe's a sweetheart! :)
DeleteMust have been awesome to hang out with your friend. That dog is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWe had a nice afternoon! Hope you had a good weekend! :)
DeleteIt's good that you got to spend time with your friend. The dog is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWhat was my dog Jesse James doing on your blog? Did he steal anything? (hence his name!) So glad the summer session looks promising! I remember the best thrill in school was, as a student, going into the classroom and just knowing that the teacher/professor was (a) good and (b) enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteDiana at About Myself By Myself
That's Roxie. She and Jesse probably would have been good friends :)
DeleteVisiting friends with doggies is always fun! Hope you had a great weekend.
