IWSG - August edition

It's time for another Insecure Writer's Support Group post!  Be sure to sign up and join us as we share our fears and offer encouragement to the group :)

This month, I'd like to offer some support to those of you feeling frustrated.  I know this sounds like a cliche, but hang in there!  You can do it!

  1. I often think that just when I am about to quit. Then I think, "Am I being just too stubborn?" And then the argument starts with all my inner voices. LOL.

    1. My thoughts exactly, Al. 'Cause, gosh knows, I'm stubborn! :)

  2. I've read in several success stories where the authors were just about to throw in the towel and their chance hit. Almost seems to go hand in hand ;)

  4. Too true. Lots of people give up right at the finish line. Of course in this industry, there's always another finish line just over the horizon. =)

  6. True. I always have to remind myself that if I give up I'll never reach my goal, where if I keep trying at least there's a chance.

  7. Yes, I'm in desperate need of a BREAKTHROUGH! I'm getting nowhere on my WIP and am thinking of taking a blog vacay. Naturally, I just promised to do a bloghop though... I have to find a way to work harder I guess.

  8. I have always felt the same way. It seems to get really hard before you break through to something great.
